    Claire Young, 11, of Winter Haven and Hunter Smith, 12, of Davenport both qualified for the United Healthcare IronKids U.S. National Championships in Iowa in September by placing in the top five in their respective age groups.

    Young was fourth among 11-year-olds and Smith was fifth among 12-year-olds.

    Quintana is a Costa Rican national cycling champion who competes for Team Susion 3.

    His training in his native country in handling the heat, a hill at the start of the bike course as well as it's many turns as he logged his best time ever.

    "I like how it had the little hill," he said.
