BARTOW | A trial date hasn't been scheduled yet for Kyle Williams, who faces charges of fatally shooting Lakeland police Officer Arnulfo Crispin in December.
Circuit Judge Donald Jacobsen encouraged lawyers at a brief hearing this morning to begin deciding when the case should go to trial.
"My goal is to obviously move this matter forward," the judge said.
The State Attorney's Office is seeking the death penalty against the 19-year-old Lakeland man.
