Source: Hoops on Campus - New York Daily News Sad news out of Queens where legendary Andrew "Fuzzy" Levane, who starred on at every level of New York City basketball from high school to college at St. John's and later as a coach and scout for the New York Knicks, passed away Monday, April 30, in Irmo, S.C. Levane, who was 92, was remembered at funeral services Tuesday at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Irmo. "It was 1942 the first time I saw St. John's ever play. It was at Madison Square Garden, and Fuzzy was a part of the starting five," said St. John's Hall of Fame Coach Lou Carnesecca.
