Blue Jays whip slumping Orioles

Brett Lawrie had three hits and three RBIs, Ricky Romero won for the seventh time in nine starts against Baltimore and the Toronto Blue Jays beat the slumping Orioles 8-6 Tuesday night.
The bottom three hitters in Toronto's lineup, Lawrie, David Cooper and Rajai Davis, went a combined 8 for 12 with six RBIs and scored four runs.
Lawrie also made a spectacular sliding catch in foul territory for the second out of the ninth inning, helping the Blue Jays out of a late jam.
Adam Jones hit two homers, extending his hitting streak to 20 games, but it wasn't enough for Baltimore.

CLEVELAND - Mike Moustakas had a career-best four RBIs to help rookie Will Smith get his first major league win, leading the Kansas City Royals to an 8-2 win over the Cleveland Indians on Tuesday night.
Moustakas hit a two-run homer off Justin Masterson (2-4) in the first and singled in two runs in the second.
Rangers, Oswalt reach minor-league deal
ARLINGTON, Texas - The Texas Rangers agreed to a minor league deal with free-agent pitcher Roy Oswalt, expecting the three-time All-Star to join their rotation within a few weeks.
Assuming Oswalt passes a physical Thursday, he is expected to go to Triple-A Round Rock and make his first start Saturday.
"He's been throwing for quite a while now, he feels good about where he is," Rangers president Nolan Ryan said.
