The Australian Wheat Board , the exclusive marketer of bulk wheat exports from Australia, admitted for the first time in court Wednesday that it knew payments it made to a trucking company were going to the Iraqi government.

A Hammonton resident was one of about 30 airmen from the 177th Fighter Wing of the New Jersey Air National Guard who deployed Feb. 9 for a six-month tour of duty in Iraq. The parade grounds at Camp Shelby near Hattiesburg, Miss., were filled with 3,300 Tennessee Army National Guardsmen at noon Friday when twice that many friends, relatives and American leaders saw them probably for the last time before deployment to Iraq.
